Came across this website ... Movies For Romatics !!! read on and watch the movie ....

1. Pretty Woman: This is a somewhat unconventional take on the boy-meets-call-girl and goes from rags to riches plot. Vivian Ward (Julia Roberts) is a prostitute in Los Angeles, California. While working one night, New Yorker Edward Lewis (Richard Gere) pulls up in his flashy sports car and asks for directions to his hotel. Taken with the feisty woman and altogether unhappy with his career and life, Edward offers Vivian $3,000 to be his professional companion for a week. She accepts and their love story begins. In a week's time the two opposites fall in love. Soon it's time for Edward to return to New York, but can he walk away from this emotional investment? Roberts scored an Academy Award nomination for her role in this crowd-pleasing comedy. Gere, who first stole hearts in American Gigolo and An Officer and a Gentleman, was thrust back into the spotlight and soon earned the title of People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive.

2. Sleepless in Seattle: After Sam Baldwin's (Tom Hanks) wife dies, he moves to Seattle to start a new life with his 8-year-old son Jonah. Still feeling the pain from her death, Jonah calls a radio talk show to ask for a new wife for his dad. Soon Sam is bombarded with letters from women wanting to marry him. Annie Reed (Meg Ryan) hears Jonah on her car radio and takes an interest in Sam's story. As Jonah reads the letters of possible love interests for his dad, he comes across Annie's and tells Sam that he wants Annie as his new mom. Jonah concocts a way to try to get Sam and Annie together, but can two strangers fall in love? Will Sam take another chance on love again? Even though their first romantic comedy collaboration -- Joe Versus the Volcano -- tanked at the box office, Ryan and Hanks rebounded with this gem and cemented their reputation as Hollywood's cutest couple.

3. An Officer and a Gentleman: Zack Mayo (Richard Gere) is a Navy brat. Having grown up with an abusive alcoholic father, Zack wants to continue in his father's military tradition, but that's it. Paula Pokrifki (Debra Winger) is an average woman who works in a factory. She doesn't have much of a past but knows that she wants more of a future. The two meet and soon fall in love, but Zack's commitment issues jeopardize the union. In the end, he realizes that he really does love her and has to confront and defeat the ghosts of his past. Lou Gossett, Jr. walked away with a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his work as the tough-as-nails drill sergeant who makes Zack's life a living hell. And speaking of memorable, who can forget a dreamy-looking Gere in his Navy whites as he literally sweeps Debra Winger off her feet?

4. Titanic: Recipe for a tearjerker: Take one boy and one girl. Put on a luxury liner. Add ice. Shake. Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) wins a ticket aboard the new luxury cruise liner, the Titanic, in a poker game. Rose DeWitt Bukater (Kate Winslet) is also boarding the ship with her rich fiance Cal and her well-to-do mother. Unhappy with her life, Rose tries to jump off the back of the ship while at sea, but Jack saves her life. To thank him for saving Rose, Cal invites him to dinner where Jack tells his tales of traveling all over the world as an artist. Jack and Rose become close on the journey. As they fall in love, Rose tells Jack that when the ship docks, she is getting off with him. As they are kissing on deck, the Titanic hits the iceberg and slowly the ship takes on water. Soon the Titanic is sinking and there are not enough lifeboats to save all of the passengers. Will Jack and Rose be tragically torn apart or will their romance live on? The epic incorporates romance, intrigue, class distinction, and drama in grand and sweeping fashion. The film sparked international fervor, propelling DiCaprio into the heartthrob stratosphere and sending scores of movie-goers back to theaters for repeated viewings. James Cameron's masterpiece also cleaned up at the 1997 Academy Awards, winning 11 Oscars including Best Director and Best Picture.

5. Beauty and the Beast: They may be cartoon characters, but Belle and her Beast melt our hearts as well as any human couple can. The Beast was once a spoiled young prince who had everything...except a caring heart. An old beggar woman approached him to ask for shelter from a cold winter night. Instead of offering hospitality, the prince scoffs at her and incurs her wrath as a result. She lays a curse on him and his palace, changing him into a beast as punishment. She leaves him with a magic rose that will stay in bloom until his 21st birthday. If he does not find true love by then, he will remain a beast forever. Meanwhile, in a nearby village, Belle is a young woman who loves to read and to dream. Gaston, the town lout, has his sites set on marrying Belle. She, however, has totally different ideas. One night when her father Maurice gets lost in the forest alone, he accidentally enters the Beast's castle and becomes captive. Belle quickly goes to find her father and pleads with the Beast to let them leave. He refuses and Belle exchanges places with her father and becomes the prisoner of the Beast. Belle and the Beast are each about to meet their match. They are stubborn and headstrong, but eventually learn to compromise and forge a friendship -- and eventually more. But will they find true love in time, before the curse on the Beast becomes permanent? Disney scored a box office hit with this beloved tale as well as a Best Picture nomination -- the first for an animated feature.

6. Breakfast at Tiffany's: Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn) is a free spirit. Formerly a country girl, she is now a playgirl hoping to find a rich husband. Every morning she nurses a cup of coffee and window shops in front of Tiffany's jewelry store where she eventually befriends Paul Varjak (George Peppard). In order to fund his struggling writing career, Paul is being kept by a wealthy, older woman. They are two bright stars but are lacking encouragement and someone to love. Holly fears having to go back to the poor life she had before and Paul fears not succeeding as a writer. As they help one another find themselves, they become closer than even they suspected.

7. An Affair to Remember: Nickie Ferrante (Cary Grant) is a playboy who is about to get married. While on a cruise to meet his fiancee in New York, he encounters Terry McKay (Deborah Kerr)-- also engaged and traveling alone. Terry and Nickie spend time together, mainly bickering. Despite being aware of his reputation, Terry finds herself falling in love with the lothario anyway. Nickie is equally smitten with Terry. Once the ship docks, they decided to meet in six months at the top of the Empire State Building to marry. But on her way to meet him, Terry suffers a crippling accident and Nickie is devastated when she doesn't show. Will Nickie and Terry be together or will he think she had a change of heart?

8. Ghost: Sam Wheat (Patrick Swayze) and is a successful businessman in New York City. One night when he and his girlfriend Molly Jensen (Demi Moore) are out, he is approached by a mugger and subsequently murdered. However, he remains on earth in spirit form. In an effort to communicate with Molly and comfort her in her grief, Sam enlists the help of psychic Oda Mae Brown (Whoopi Goldberg). Together they try and solve his murder and save Molly from danger. The film quickly became a cultural phenomenon and sent the 1965 Righteous Brothers hit "Unchained Melody" back to the top of the music charts. Inspired by Sam and Molly's lovemaking on a potter's wheel, enrollment in ceramics classes significantly increased after the film's release. Goldberg also took home an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.

9. Say Anything: Lloyd Dobler (John Cusack) is an awkward high school senior in love with popular girl Diane Court (Ione Skye). They are complete opposites: Diane is book-smart and driven while Lloyd's greatest ambition is to become a kick-boxer. The shy protagonist finally finds the courage to ask Diane out on a date and their relationship is off and running. Diane's father Jim (John Mahoney) views Lloyd as a distraction and wants his daughter to maintain her focus on college. Because of the stress in her life and the disapproval of her father, Diane decides to cool things with Lloyd and head off to England for an academic fellowship. Will this tear Lloyd and Diane apart or will these lovers find a way to be together? Mostly known for his wacky comedic performances in the likes of Better Off Dead and One Crazy Summer, Cusack gained certified romantic-leading-man status with this film. His onscreen bid to win Diane back by "serenading" her with Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" also set hearts aflutter. Jerry Maguire writer/director, Cameron Crowe, also impressed with his sharply written screenplay.

10. Shakespeare in Love: Young William Shakespeare (Joseph Fiennes) is suffering from writer's block. When Will meets Viola de Lesseps (Gwyneth Paltrow), the daughter of a rich merchant, he finds his muse. Viola longs for adventure and romance, and her passion for the theater draws her to Will and to the stage. She auditions for a part in his new play, Romeo and Ethel the Pirate's Daughter, disguised as a male since women were not allowed to act in theater. As the play goes on, the love affair between Will and Viola flourishes, but her father intends to marry her to nobleman Lord Wessex (Colin Firth). The charming romance proved to be a sleeper hit and a critical darling. In addition to netting a Best Actress statuette for Gwyneth Paltrow, Shakespeare in Love shocked many at the 1998 Academy Awards when it won Best Picture over the supposed shoo-in, Saving Private Ryan.
